Three Half Moon Bay residents were arrested Oct. 21 at a Golden Gate Avenue residence following a search warrant that led to the seizure of a pound of cocaine, three ounces of heroin and five ounces of methamphetamine.

Jesus Contreras Lopez, 21, his sister, Cirenya Godinez, 22, and a 17-year-old were arrested during the search that authorities say was the result of a months-long investigation.

Undercover San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force agents performed six to eight purchases of the illegal drugs in the months leading up to the search warrant, said Trisha Sanchez, commander with the agency.

The three Half Moon Bay arrests led to an additional three arrests during a subsequent undercover operation in Redwood City. A kilogram of cocaine was seized there, according to task force reports.

When agents entered the house at 904 Golden Gate Ave., Lopez allegedly tried to flush seven ounces of cocaine down the toilet. The ploy backfired when the cocaine clogged the toilet, according to reports.

Agents also allegedly found packaging materials, scales and approximately $3,000 in Lopez' room.

The undercover operation in Redwood City occurred Oct. 26 at about 8 p.m. when agents arrested Saul Contreras, 22, after he allegedly attempted to sell them a kilogram of cocaine.

Agents believe that Contreras was Lopez' dealer.

Guadalupe Alvarez Enriquez, 29, and Francisco Lopez Martinez, 21, were also arrested during the undercover sting.

All suspects, with the exclusion of Contreras, name Half Moon Bay as their place of residence. Contreras' bail was set at $2 million and Lopez' bail was set at $1.45 million.

The county Narcotics Task Force was unable to release the booking photos for two of the individuals arrested because deputies were unable to locate the suspects in under the names used during the arrests. Authorities believe that the cause for the confusion may be the result of aliases or faulty data entry.
